Added A New Show To My Schedule

I have been hearing good things about Athena, Oregon's Scottish Caledonian Games; so that is where I am heading during the weekend of July 14 & 15. I hear it is a small town but the whole town pulls together and puts on this festival. Very friendly place with a huge line-up of things for people to do as a family. As you can tell I love Scottish Festivals. I am actually a red headed Irish/Cherokee with a little Scottish mixed in but that is not why I go. There is non-stop activities; dancing, piping music, atheletic events ( not your average track: flying anvils in this one) geneology, lamb burgers, sheep dog trials plus much much more.

I get excited about being part of this atomsphere as a vendor and spectator. Everyone is happy. I prefer this kind of atomsphere to work and sell in. As a vendor, I try to look for great festivals not to just sell my handmade products in but also, a festival that I feel would be a fun weekend for my family to attend. I believe from what I hear from the grape vine that Athena is a place to be for me in July.
