Yahoo Groups for Crafters and more

I recently joined several different artist groups up on Yahoo. I couldnt be happier because of it. I feel as though I am more informed as an artist/craftsperson, and ready to start a new show season . The social interaction with other artists has been a wonderful shot in the arm during this wintery break.
If you havent heard of the Yahoo artist/craft groups. Here is a little info about them. There is well over 512 different groups sharing and talking about their art/craft, techniques, free patterns, craft shows, suppliers and every other subject that any artist/craftsperson might like or need to know. Many of them have free tutorials, links and photo galleries. My experience to the groups I belong to, I have found their members very nice and helpful to each other and new members. Some of the groups are open to the public but most are for members only and are moderated for subject matter and spam. It's not hard to become a member. There is a little survey asking about your craft and why you would like to join. The groups are usually themed to a certain type of art/craft. There are groups for information only linked to artist or crafter guilds, also.
